Tomosynthesis Technology

Dexela has developed and patented a range of optimisations for the process of tomosynthesis image acquisition. In tomosynthesis a set of 2D X-ray images are acquired over a limited angular range. The manner in which the limited X-ray dose budget is divided between these images, as well as the variation in energy spectrum of the photons, are critical to the resulting image quality. Also important, are the angular range, velocity profile and angular spacing of the images.
