Prof Dan Kopans speaks at UK Radiological Congress 'Digital breast tomosynthesis: a revolution in mammography'

Prof Dan Kopans of MGH Boston gave a presentation entitled 'Digital breast tomosynthesis: a revolution in mammography' to colleagues at the UK Radiological Congress 2005 in the 'State of the art symposium -Current Developments in Breast Imaging' section of the meeting. The presentation described recent advances in digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) and the enormous potential of this technique to revolutionise mammography.

After the talk Alex Stewart and Edward Bullard of Dexela showed off Dexela's prototype 3D digital mammography workstation, allowing doctors to experience DBT at first hand.

UKRC is a three day multidisciplinary Congress covering all aspects of diagnostic imaging and oncology, as well as radiology informatics and service delivery. The 2005 Congress was held Monday 6 - Wednesday 8 June 2005 at G-Mex & MICC, Manchester, UK.
