Dexela Launch Advanced Mammography Applications, WorkstationOne and CadOne into European market at ECR 2009 on NDS Surgical Booth Expo B, 206

on 25 February 2009

Dexela is introducing the advanced mammography applications, WorkstationOne™ and CadOne™ into the European market at ECR 2009. WorkstationOne is designed for high throughput mammography screening and features single click imaging workflow with expert viewing methodology and extensive integration and reporting capabilities, WorkstationOne is ideal for multi-vendor FFDM environments and includes support for MRI and Ultrasound examinations as well as CAD structured reports.
CadOne is a mammography CAD server designed for mammography screening with digital FFDM or CR acquisition devices from multiple vendors. The acquisition device or PACS pushes the mammography exam to CadOne which automatically processes the images and generates a CAD structured report which is pushed to one or more Workstations or a PACS.
Dr. Stergios Prapavesis, who has been leading the clinical beta testing for both WorkstationOne and CadOne in a leading specialist radiology practice in Greece, said “WorkstationOne is remarkable, dedicated breast imaging software. It assists mammography interpretation by providing a set of flexible, powerful and unique tools that have been developed after consultation with expert mammo-radiologists. For example, the sequential side by side comparison using mirror masking in all views enhances perception of minute asymmetric lesions (a concept pioneered by Dr. Tabar), and the systematic all pixels technique examines the entire set of data at full resolution. These are achieved in a practical manner easily incorporated in a busy workflow. WorkstationOne has proved superior to any other viewing software we have tried and has become our tool of choice for mammography interpretation. We are also actively engaged in the development of the CadOne application and expect it will turn into an equally powerful and user friendly solution”.
WorkstationOne and CadOne are powered by Three Palm Software.
WorkstationOne and CadOne will be on display at ECR 2009 on the NDS Surgical Booth Expo B, 206.

About Dexela Limited
Dexela is developing accurate and sensitive 3D breast imaging technology for the early detection of cancer, known as Tomosynthesis. Conventional mammography has a significant rate of both false negatives and false positives, particularly in younger women. Dexela has developed innovative technology for 3D breast imaging, which promises to significantly reduce both false negatives and false positives, allowing the earlier detection of cancer while reducing the occurrence of call-backs. Dexela has developed powerful techniques to acquire, process and visualize data from 3D X-ray breast imaging. Dexela is playing a central role in this field through relationships with medical device manufacturers and distributors.
